On the 15th of July 2022, Arvind Arun Dev (ESR 11) defended his thesis “Flow mechanics in magnetically confined liquid tubes” prepared under joint supervision of prof. Bernard Doudin (CNRS-IPCMS) and prof. Thomas Hermans (UNISTRA). The defence was done in hybrid on-line and in person format.
The members of jury were: Nora Dempsey ( Director of Research, CNRS, Institut Néel), Jaap Den Toonder (Professor, , Eindhoven University of Technology) and Wiebke Drenckhan (Director of Research, CNRS, Institut Charles Sadron).
Arvind will join Cornell University as a postdoc from November 2022. We wish him all the best!
