Title: Magnetic control of flow and mass transfer

Abstract: My talk will focus on how magnetic fields can be used
for controlling flow and mass transfer in weakly conducting liquids. I will give different examples of how the Lorentz force and the magnetic gradient force can be utilized. These include flows around obstacles/bubbles and flows in confined geometries, thereby considering also mass transfer by electrochemical reactions at electrodes.
